Soak in Hot Springs

Oregon Hot Springs

A part of the Oregon’s identity, natural hot springs are created as the result of volcanic and hydrothermal activities. The hot springs are found in the Cascade Mountains, Southern Oregon, and the high deserts of Eastern Oregon.

Most hot springs located on BLM land or in National Forests are undeveloped and free of charge; some of the destinations charge minimal entry fees, while others have been commercialized.

Oregon hot springs are a popular pasttime, especially after a day of adventuring. In Union County, there are two unique locations where guests can overnight and soak in local hot springs. Read on for locations that visitors can hike into and soak, as well.

The Lodge at Hot lake springs

A historic 4 season brick hotel, recently renovated, The Lodge at Hot Lake Springs offers on-site soaking to guests. The mineral-rich water flows into 5 lakeside soaking pools. In addition to soaking, the lodge hosts a 60-seat movie theater and a pub and eatery - one of 6 planned pubs and 2 restaurants.

Day soaking passes also available!
